Sept 30 – Every Child Matters

On Monday September 30 Loyola will be recognizing Orange Shirt Day.  This day seeks to commemorate the residential school experience, to witness and honour the healing journey of survivors and their families, and to commit to the ongoing process of reconciliation. While this is a full uniform day, students are encouraged to accent their uniform with orange.  This could be with orange socks, an orange tie, orange jewelry etc.  Students will be provided with orange ‘Every Child Matters’ stickers in their period one class.  We will have a display of art and resources to commemorate the day in the atrium. … Continue reading

Friday Night Football Game

ALERT – TIME CHANGE – Games will start 30 minutes later (Sept.27) On Friday, September 27, our Junior and Senior Football teams will be playing against Assumption High School at Nelson High School (4181 New St, Burlington). Tickets are $5 (see Schoolcashonline) and are for current Loyola students and parents. We will be asking for student ID at the gate and visitors from other schools will not be admitted. Photo Day – Sept.18

Loyola to host OFSAA – Ultimate

Ultimate has been developed as a grass roots co-ed sport that saw the Loyola team advance from the HCAA Championships to the GHAC Championships to our South Regional Championships in the past year. Ultimate started as a club team in the Halton Catholic schools back in 2002 and we’ve seen it’s popularity grow since. This year, Loyola will host the inaugural OFSAA Festival Championships on Thursday, October 31 and Friday, November 1st.
